Clarence Habel worked for Susquehanna #5 and others; he was working at #5 when a mining explosion happened. All that was found and buried of his body was his left foot, a couple of teeth, and a few hairs. My grandfather was a young man, in his mid-20's, a married father of three who went to work in the mines. I wish there were more to say, but he passed away when his children were very young, and they had minimal to no memories of him. Previously he had served in the United States Navy and was a titled boxer. The photo supplied was taken aboard his ship after a match.
