William was a Miner for the Glen Alden coal Co. He was killed in a gas explosion on August 3rd,1925. He was 53 years old and left behind a wife and four children. A nephew, Anthony Bazis, 33, was his laborer. He was injured but survived because an empty coal car rolled on top of him and shielded him from the debris and the blast. Anthony also came to America from Suwalk, Lithuania, arriving in 1917 at 25 years of age.
